Embattled Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is in trouble again.

Suh was fined $31,500 by the NFL on Wednesday for his hit on Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden on Sunday, according to several media reports.

Suh admitted to reporters that he knows he and his aggressive style of play are under constant scrutiny by the league, which has resulted in numerous fines during his career.

“There’s always going to be a microscope on me, no matter where it is, from outsde media, from the NFL to little kids to everybody,” Suh said, according to a report by the Detroit Free Press.

Although he was penalized by the league, Suh was not penalized during the game for the helmet to body hit on Weeden.

Suh has now been fined $209,000 and been docked more than $165,000 in salary for seven egregious penalties as well as a two-game suspension, for a grand total of $374,294.

That total includes a $100,000 fine after throwing an illegal low block in the opening game of this season.

“I think you just roll with the punches,” Suh said when asked about his response to the numerous fines. “Not everything’s going to go your way in life. I’ve understood that, grew up that way. It’s just like for me, I wanted a Nintendo 64 when I was little. My mom said no, so I had to deal with it.”

Lions coach Jim Schwartz told the Free Press he also knows the NFL keeps a close eye on Suh.

“Scrutiny’s part of this game, particularly for high-profile players, and he certainly fits the bill as a high-profile player,” Schwartz said.
