Milwaukee Brewers minor league right-handed pitcher Dylan Brock will serve a 50-game suspension for using a banned substance, Major League Baseball announced Wednesday.
Brock was suspended without pay by MLB’s Office of the Commissioner after testing positive for the use of Clomiphene, a performance-enhancing substance that violates the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Currently playing with the Brewers’ rookie-level team in Arizona, Brock will serve the suspension at the start of the 2014 season.
Brewers star Ryan Braun was suspended for 65 games this season for violating MLB’s substance abuse rules.
