Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert threw at practice Friday, although he remains a game-day decision due to a thumb injury on his right hand.
Gabbert took part in limited practice Wednesday and Thursday as the Jaguars prepare for Sunday’s regular-season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The key Sunday will be how well Gabbert is able to take the snap from center and grip the football. If he can’t play, veteran backup Chad Henne would get the start.
–Tight end Marcedes Lewis did not practice Friday due to a calf injury.
