Wide receiver Victor Cruz and the New York Giants finalized a multiyear contract on Monday, according to multiple reports.
The Sports Xchange learned that Cruz will play this season at his $2.879 million restricted free agent tender before the new deal kicks in starting in 2014.
Including this year’s tender, the contract is for six years at $45.879 million with $15.6 million guaranteed. He is expected to sign the deal on Tuesday.
Cruz, 26, signed the tender in June after long-term contract talks had stalled for months.
In the past two years, Cruz combined to make 168 catches for 2,628 yards with 19 touchdowns.
