Tampa Bay Rays left-hander David Price was activated from the disabled list Tuesday and will start against the Houston Astros.
This is the 27-year-old’s first outing since May 16, when he suffered a strained left triceps.
“For me to go out there and not have butterflies would be kind of shocking to myself,” Price told the Tampa Tribune.
Price, the reigning 2012 American League Cy Young Award, is 1-4 with a 5.24 ERA in nine starts this season. He’s scheduled to face Astros’ lefty Erik Bedard.
