Oakland A’s first baseman Brandon Moss will be away from the team for 2-3 days on paternity leave, and will be replaced on the roster by Shane Peterson.

Moss has become an everyday player after platooning last season. He’s batting .283 with two homers and an .844 OPS in 13 games.

Peterson, 25, was hitting .410 in 11 games with Triple-A Sacramento.
