Jets bring back OL Pace

The New York Jets signed Calvin Pace to a one-year contract on Tuesday, two months after cutting the outside linebacker as part of a salary purge, according to an ESPN.com report.

Pace had been scheduled to earn $11.6 million this season. Releasing him cost the team $3 million in dead money, ESPN.com reported. Terms of his new deal weren’t disclosed.

The 32-year-old signed a six-year, $42 million deal with the Jets in 2008.
