Defensive lineman Chris Canty confirmed via Twitter that he signed with the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday.
Canty visited several teams last week after he was released by the New York Giants. He reportedly received written offers from the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs.
The 30-year-old was a fourth-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2005 and is experienced in the brand of 3-4 defense the Ravens prefer.
Canty signed a three-year, $8 million deal similar to the contract signed by the veteran who replaced him in New York, Cullen Jenkins. Canty received $2.8 million in guarantees; Jenkins’ deal included $3 million guaranteed.
