Report: Could Lewis return next season?

Perhaps this won’t be the last ride for Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis after all.

Lewis’ teammate, Ed Reed, told reporters Monday that they shouldn’t bank on Lewis calling it a career after Super Bowl XLVII, according to NFL.com.

“Maybe he’ll play 10 games next year,” Reed told the web site.

Before the postseason, Lewis told teammates, “This will be my last ride,” and he has already reportedly has a multiyear deal to join ESPN as a commentator next season.

The 37-year-old suffered a torn triceps in mid-October, but returned for the playoffs. He has 44 tackles in three games.
