The Seattle Mariners have signed Luis Liberato, a 17-year-old outfielder from the Domincan Republic, to a $140,000 contract, according to Baseball America.
Liberato is 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and bats left-handed.
The Mariners believe he can play center field, but he has the arm to play right field if needed, according to the report.
