Minnesota acquired pitcher Vance Worley and minor-league pitching prospect Trevor May from the Philadelphia Phillies for outfielder Ben Revere, the Twins announced.

Worley, 25, posted a 4.20 ERA in 133 innings for the Phillies in 2012, while suffering from a bone chip in his elbow for much of the season. He had surgery in September.

Revere, 24, batted .294 with a .333 on-base percentage in 553 plate appearances in 2012, and stole 40 bases in 49 attempts. He was drafted by the Twins in the first round of 2007.

The Twins have now dealt both of their center fielders in less than a week. Denard Span was sent to the Washington Nationals on Nov. 29.

May, 23, ranked as the Phillies’ second-best prospect by MLB.com, had a 4.87 ERA in 149 2/3 innings with Double-A Reading.
