The Oakland Raiders have suspended linebacker Rolando McClain for conduct detrimental to the team, according to a report Friday.
There were no specifics on the reasons for the Raidiers’ decision or the length of the suspension, but the team is not releasing him, Fox Sports reported. Teammates told Fox Sports that it extends beyond this week.
McClain posted Wednesday on Facebook that he was done with the team. He did not show up for practice Thursday and said he expected to be released, but Fox Sports reported that the team would not do so.
The 23-year-old was drafted eighth overall in 2010 and started for the Raiders as a rookie. He has 60 tackles and one sack this season.
