New York Giants safety Kenny Phillips told ESPN New York on Friday that his $30,000 unnecessary roughness fine from September was overturned and is expected to play Sunday.

Phillips was fined for a hit against Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson on a pass play that did not draw a penalty flag on Sept. 16.

Phillips has not played since Sept. 30 when he sprained an MCL against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Phillips practiced on a limited basis all week and expects to play Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
