Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew has already been ruled out this week because of a foot injury, according to the team’s website.
Jones-Drew missed Sunday’s 24-15 loss to the Green Bay Packers after sustaining the injury the week prior. Several media reports indicated last week that Jones-Drew would miss multiple games.
Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey announced Monday that Jones-Drew will not play this Sunday against the Detroit Lions, according to the website.
Jones-Drew’s backup, Rashad Jennings, rushed for 59 yards on 17 carries against the Packers.
