Gerhard de Beer – Noteworthy – Transaction
T Gerhard de Beer was signed by the Packers to the practice squad Tuesday (Nov. 27). He had been released by the Bills from the practice squad Sept. 11. de Beer, a 6-foot-6, 312-pound rookie, was originally signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Arizona on May 11. After being released by the Bills on Sept. 1, he spent a short time on Buffalo’s practice squad. At Arizona, de Beer played in 23 games and blocked for a rushing offense that ranked No. 3 in the nation with an average of 309.3 yards per game in 2017.
