Charles Kanoff – Noteworthy – Transaction
QB Charles Kanoff was signed by the Cardinals from their practice squad Saturday (Nov. 24). Kanoff (6-4, 219) has spent the entire season on the Cardinals practice squad after originally joining the team in May as an undrafted rookie free agent from Princeton.
Darrell Daniels – Noteworthy – Transaction
TE Darrell Daniels was placed on waivers by the Seahawks Saturday (Nov. 24). He was claimed on waivers by the Cardinals Monday (Nov. 26). Daniels (6-3, 246) has played in 21 career games (five starts) for the Colts (2017) and Seahawks (2018) and has three receptions for 26 yards. He played in nine games this season with Seattle (two starts) after being acquired from the Colts in a trade on Sept. The 24-year old Daniels entered the league with Indianapolis as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2017 out of the University of Washington and played in 12 games (three starts) with the Colts as a rookie.
Dontae Johnson – Noteworthy – Transaction
CB Dontae Johnson was signed by the Cardinals Tuesday (Nov. 27). His contract had been terminated by the Bills Oct. 30. Johnson (6-2, 200) is a five-year NFL veteran who has played in 64 career games (22 starts) with the 49ers (2014-17) and Bills (2018) and has 149 tackles (120 solo), two interceptions (both returned for touchdowns) and 21 passes defensed. He entered the league with the 49ers as a fourth-round selection (129th overall) in the 2014 draft out of North Carolina State. The 26-year-old Johnson started all 16 games last season for the 49ers and set career highs with 76 tackles and seven passes defensed. Johnson spent the preseason with the Seahawks and appeared in one game this season with the Bills prior to being released.
Jalen Tolliver – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR Jalen Tolliver was signed by the Cardinals to their practice squad Tuesday (Nov. 27). He had been waived by the Cardinals Saturday. Tolliver (6-3, 210) originally signed with the Cardinals in May as an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Arkansas-Monticello and has spent the entire season on Arizona’s practice squad.
Josh Bynes – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
LB Josh Bynes (thumb) was placed on reserve/injured by the Cardinals Monday (Nov. 26).
Quinten Rollins – Noteworthy – Transaction
CB Quinten Rollins was signed by the Cardinals Tuesday (Nov. 27). He had been waived by the Packers from reserve/injured with an injury settlement Sept. 10. Rollins (5-11, 195) played in 33 games (15 starts) the past three seasons with Green Bay and had 94 tackles (73 solo), three interceptions and one fumble recovery after entering the league with the Packers as a second-round selection (62nd overall) in the 2015 draft out of Miami, Ohio.
Zane Gonzalez – Noteworthy – Transaction
K Zane Gonzalez was signed by the Cardinals from their practice squad Monday (Nov. 26). Gonzalez (6-0, 202) was signed to the Cardinals practice squad on Nov. 20. He played collegiately at Arizona State where he was the 2016 Lou Groza Award winner and finished as the FBS all-time leader in field goals made (96) and points by a kicker (494). The 23-year old Gonzalez kicked in 18 games with Cleveland (2017-18) after entering the league with the Browns as a seventh-round selection (224th overall) in the 2017 draft. He connected on 17-of-25 field goals and 28 extra points during his time in Cleveland and set numerous Browns rookie records in 2017 including the most field goals (15) in a season and the longest field goal (54 yards) by a rookie. Gonzalez kicked in two games this season with Cleveland before being released on Sept. 18.
