Indianapolis Colts player notes for Nov 16th, 2018


Jalen Collins – Important – Transaction
CB Jalen Collins was signed by the Colts to their practice squad Thursday (Nov. 15). Collins, 6-1, 203 pounds, has played in 24 career games (eight starts) with the Atlanta Falcons (2015-17) and has compiled 43 tackles (40 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, two interceptions and 10 passes defensed. He started three postseason contests for the Falcons and registered 18 tackles (16 solo), two passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Collins was originally selected by Atlanta in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2015 draft. He was released by the Falcons in Nov. 2017 after serving a 10-game suspension for violating the league policy on performance-enhancing substances. He was recently reinstated after serving another 10-game suspension.

Phillip Walker – Noteworthy – Transaction
QB Phillip Walker was re-signed to the Colts’ practice squad on Friday. The 5-11, 216-pound Walker has had four previous stints on the Colts’ practice squad this season.
Walker went through the team’s 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during final cuts before the season opener on Sept. 1. Walker signed a reserve/future contract with the Colts on Jan. 1, 2018 after spending the entire season 2017 on Indianapolis’ practice squad. Walker was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Temple on May 4, 2017.
