GAME BREAKDOWN
KEY MATCHUP: Virginia’s defense against Georgia Tech’s option offense. To say the Cavaliers’ are thin up front on the defensive side of the ball would be an understatement. Losing defensive end Mandy Alonso for the season was a big blow a couple of weeks ago and will hurt even more against the Yellow Jackets’ power rushing attack. Virginia’s strength this season has been in their secondary and that unit has proven that it can make tackles as well, something that will be key against the Yellow Jackets.
DRAFT SLANT
–QB Bryce Perkins continues to find the end zone both with his arm and his legs. Perkins recorded four total touchdowns against Liberty and managed to score on the ground twice. Perkins completed 14-of-22 pass attempts for 168 yards and tallied 89 yards rushing on just nine attempts.
ROSTER REPORT
–DB Joey Blount missed Saturday’s game against Liberty with a lower-body injury but hopes to be back this week against Georgia Tech.
