GAME BREAKDOWN
KEY MATCHUP: Florida State is allowing 403.8 yards per game in going 4-6 in its first 10 games. BC is averaging 407.4 yards per game of offense. But the Eagles have two key weapons — running back AJ Dillon and QB Anthony Brown — that are questionable for this game. If Brown, the more likely to be out, can’t play, AJ Perry against the FSU defense becomes the matchup to watch.
DRAFT SLANT
–DE Zach Allen continues to impress the pro scouts. NFLdraftscout.com has him rated as the No. 2 defensive end in the country. In the win over Louisville, he was in on seven tackles, three of them for loss, one a sack, and added a sack last week. His 17.0 career sacks rank seventh on BC’s all-time list.
ROSTER REPORT:
–P Grant Carlson had a career-high 12 punts in last week’s loss to Clemson, three of them landing inside the 20 and three of them going for more than 50 yards.
–WR/R Michael Walker’s 74-yard punt return for a touchdown was Boston College’s only score in the loss. It was BC’s first punt return for a TD since Spiffy Evans did it against Maine in 2012 — and was the eighth-longest in the history of the program.
–LB Max Richardson led the Eagles with nine tackles, including 0.5 for loss, in the loss.
–Boston College fell to 2-30 all-time against Top 5 teams with the loss to Clemson.
