Dallas Cowboys player notes for Nov 7th, 2018

Amari Cooper – Noteworthy
WR Amari Cooper caught 5 passes (in 8 targets) for 58 yards and a TD in his first game as a Cowboy. Prescott looked for him early and often, but the two couldn’t connect enough in the second half, when Tennessee shut out Dallas.

Connor Williams – Noteworthy – Injury
LG Connor Williams suffered a knee injury against Tennessee. Garrett didn’t have much information on the injury on Tuesday, so he declined to speculate on Williams’s availability nor who would replace him if he can’t play at Philadelphia.

Dak Prescott – Noteworthy
QB Dak Prescott is the Dallas Cowboys’ long-term answer at quarterback despite the immediate troubles of the team, according to owner Jerry Jones. Prescott committed two turnovers on Monday that helped the Tennessee Titans post a 28-14 victory over the Cowboys (3-5). The 25-year-old has 10 touchdown passes against five interceptions and four lost fumbles this season. “Listen, Dak is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Tuesday. “He’s young and he’s going to get extended.”

Dak Prescott – Noteworthy
QB Dak Prescott completed 21 of 31 passes for 243 yards with 2 touchdowns. Those seem like the numbers of an efficient offensive game, especially since Dallas benefitted from two fumble recoveries on the Titans’ end of the field. But Prescott gave up an interception and a fumble that contributed to an overall dud of a night on offense.

Ezekiel Elliott – Noteworthy
RB Ezekiel Elliott started off fast against Tennessee, catching a 37-yard pass in the first quarter that set up a touchdown. He finished with 61 rushing yards and 51 receiving on 21 total touches, but it wasn’t enough to ignite the Cowboys’ offense.
