PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Taylor Cornelius attempted 41 passes in the Nov. 3 loss at Baylor despite winds gusting up to 28 mph. Cornelius completed 28 attempts for 287 yards and one touchdown. He completed just three of his last 10 throws, however, and was under duress much of the game. He was sacked four times. He completed 10 of his first 14 attempts.

–WR Tylan Wallace, a sophomore, became the ninth Oklahoma State receiver in history to record a 1,000-yard season with a 122-yard output at Baylor. The Cowboys have had 16 1,000-yard seasons by receivers, including one each of the last six seasons. The 100-yard performance was the sixth for Wallace, who blossomed into the Cowboys’ go-to receiver after playing sparingly as a freshman.

–WR Tyron Johnson established a career-best with eight receptions in the Baylor loss. He totaled 81 yards while used much of the time as a possession receiver capable of moving the chains.

–P Zach Sinor had two punts for a 59-yard average, with one downed inside the 20-yard line in the loss at Baylor. A blocked punt the Bears used to score a first-half touchdown was critical, though Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy attributed the mistake to failed execution and not Sinor.

SERIES HISTORY: Oklahoma State leads Oklahoma 87-18-7. The Sooners triumphed 62-52 last season when the two teams combined for more than 1,400 yards in total offense. Oklahoma has won three straight in the series.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “(Bedlam) doesn’t really change for me. I can’t change. I can’t be on an emotional roller coaster. It’s too hard. It’s a long season. I try to stay even-keel the best I can. I try to coach the coaches and let the coaches coach the players. That’s just my philosophy.” — Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy.
