Chris Thompson – Important – Injury
RB Chris Thompson was ruled out of Sunday’s game against Atlanta. Thompson was unable to practice Friday due to a rib injury suffered in last week’s game at the New York Giants. He missed two games before returning to the lineup last weekend. Thompson has 28 catches in five games, including a career-high 13 for 92 yards in Week 2 against Indianapolis.

Jamison Crowder – Noteworthy – Injury
RB Jamison Crowder was ruled out of Sunday’s game against Atlanta. Crowder will sit out his fourth straight game because of his ankle injury.

Trent Williams – Important – Injury
OT Trent Williams underwent surgery on his thumb and will miss Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Williams underwent the procedure to repair a dislocated thumb that he suffered in last weekend’s game against the New York Giants. Redskins coach Jay Gruden on Friday did not give a definitive timetable for the absence of Williams. “We will take it week to week,” Gruden told reporters, per the Washington Post.
