The Kansas City Chiefs added star quarterback Patrick Mahomes to their injury report Sunday morning due to illness but gave no game status designation for their matchup with the host Denver Broncos.
Mahomes has been dealing with the flu, NFL Network reported. Multiple media reports said he is expected to play.
The Chiefs (6-1) handed the Broncos (2-5) a 19-8 defeat on Oct. 12 in Kansas City.
Mahomes is 12-0 all-time in the matchup with a 96.4 passer rating — part of a larger dominance of the entire division. Mahomes last lost a game to an AFC West foe in Week 3 of the 2021 season (against the Los Angeles Chargers).
