OCT 29 MOUNTAIN WEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: DAKARI MONROE, SAN JOSÉ STATE, Senior, Cornerback, San Jose, California/Archbishop Mitty HS…Helped lead San José State to a 50-37 victory over UNLV on Saturday, snapping a seven-game losing streak…Recorded six tackles, two interceptions, one of which was returned 50 yards for a touchdown, and two pass break ups…Tied a single-game career high with two interceptions. Monroe’s first pick set up a Spartan field goal, while his second interception was returned 50 yards for a touchdown and increased their lead to 47-28…Is the first SJSU defender to win MW Defensive Player of the Week honor since Frank Ginda on Nov. 28, 2016. – Mountain West Football
