French basketball star Victor Wembanyama threw out the ceremonial first pitch for Tuesday night’s New York Yankees game.
Wembanyama, the no-doubt No. 1 overall pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, arrived in the New York area Monday in advance of Thursday’s draft.
Alleged to stand 7-foot-4, Wembanyama stood on the rubber and went into a windup, but his toss was way wide, and behind where a left-handed batter would stand.
The Yankees are facing the Seattle Mariners.
The San Antonio Spurs own the first choice of Thursday’s draft.
