PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Zack Annexstad is questionable for the Indiana game with a midsection injury.

–LB Carter Coughlin is seventh in the country with eight sacks. He leads the Big Ten in sacks, all this after recording a team-leading 6.5 sacks last season. With his team struggling, how well Coughlin is able to disrupt Indiana’s offense will be for Minnesota to notch a win.

–RB Mohamed Ibrahim is experiencing an up-and-down season typical for a redshirt freshman. Ibrahim is one of three running backs on the roster with more than 100 yards in a game this season. He had a solid effort against Ohio State, which Fleck and crew will need against Indiana.

–WR Tyler Johnson leads the team with 47 receptions for 705 yards and six touchdowns. Johnson is on pace to break Minnesota’s single-season record for receptions set by Eric Decker in 2008 (84).

SERIES HISTORY: Minnesota leads Indiana 38-26-3. Minnesota has won the last two meetings, including a 42-39 thriller last season in Bloomington.

QUOTE TO NOTE: “We didn’t stop them at all. We didn’t come close to stopping them. We didn’t tackle well. We didn’t set an edge.” — Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck on the 53-28 loss to Nebraska.
