PLAYERS TO WATCH
–LB Peyton Pelluer played his 48th career game when the Cougars beat Oregon last week. WR Gabe Marks and DL Daniel Ekuale hold the school record with 51 games played. Pelluer recorded four tackles and one quarterback hurry. Pelluer increased his career tackle total to 308, passing Artie Holmes for 10th-most tackles in school history.
–QB Gardner Minshew II, a graduate transfer from East Carolina, threw four touchdown passes and 323 yards in his seventh straight 300-yard game.
–FS Jalen Thompson tied his season-high of seven tackles against the Ducks. He added three pass breakups.
–LB Jahad Woods record his fifth career solo sack in the win over Oregon. He also had his third sack of the season.
SERIES HISTORY: Washington State goes into Saturday’s game at Stanford having won the last two games in the series but the Cardinal lead the all-time matchup 40-27-1. Before the Cougars’ recent success against Stanford, the Cardinal reeled off eight straight wins against Washington State.
