Vanderbilt had not started a season with three consecutive wins since 2017. When the Commodores scored a go-ahead touchdown with just 1:14 remaining in the game, it looked like that seven-year drought was coming to an end.

But, Ted Hurst and Georgia State had a different idea.

With only 15 seconds remaining, the junior wide receiver caught a 25-yard scoring strike from fellow junior quarterback Christian Veilleux as the Panthers pulled out a 36-32 win over their Southeastern Conference opponent.

That touchdown catch has been chosen as the U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week.”

For the game, Hurst had seven receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns. Veilleux completed 26 of 41 throws for 269 yards and three scores.

Remember … for the tailgate tent or the pre-game party, U. S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always “the winning catch.”

The Catfish Institute, or TCI, was formed in 1986 by catfish farmers and feed manufacturers to raise consumer awareness of the positive qualities of U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish. Since its formation, U.S. per capita consumption has more than doubled.

U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish is a sustainable and environmentally friendly seafood product. The National Audubon Society, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Environmental Defense all recommend U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish as a safe environmental choice. To find out more, visit www.uscatfish.com.
