After throwing for 419 yards in a losing effort against Auburn last week, Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson went on the road with the Bears on Saturday to play the undefeated, No. 17 ranked SMU Mustangs in Dallas. Baylor was a three-point underdog.
But Robertson proved that his opening game numbers were no fluke. With the Bears trailing by 14 points in the fourth quarter, he led an impressive offensive effort for a come-from-behind win, 48-45. Robertson passed for 440 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 20 more yards. He has opened the season with over 850 passing yards and seven touchdown throws with no interceptions. It was Baylor’s 13th consecutive win over SMU.
