GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Wake Forest offensive line vs. Florida State’s defensive front. The offensive line was supposed to be a strength for the Demon Deacons, but that hasn’t always been the case. The group was mostly manhandled by Clemson’s touted defensive front, throwing the entire offense out of kilter. The Demon Deacons need to establish a threat on the ground to potentially make it easier for freshman QB Sam Hartman to operate. Florida State leads the ACC in rushing defense, allowing 101.2 yards per game on the ground. Wake Forest will have to do good work in the trenches to reach its average of 232.8 yards per game on the ground.

DRAFT SLANT

–C Ryan Anderson has started 35 consecutive games. He’s capable of shifting to guard or tackle if that’s what the Demon Deacons need. His stock began to rise last year as the Demon Deacons racked up record yardage totals and now scouts will have a chance to zero in on him to see what he’s doing so well on a regular basis.

ROSTER REPORT

–WR Greg Dortch, who’s the big-play threat for Wake Forest on offense and special teams, returned to practice in a limited capacity after the off week. He exited the loss to Clemson in the second half with an ankle injury.

–WR Jaquarii Roberson, a redshirt freshman, has moved onto the depth chart as a backup. He has two catches for a total of 2 yards this season.

–DL LaRonde’ Liverpool was injured in automobile accident during the team’s open weekend. He was hospitalized. The redshirt sophomore hadn’t appeared in a game this season.
