Xavier Ubosi – Noteworthy
OCT 15 CONFERENCE USA CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: UAB senior WR Xavier Ubosi had the best game of his career in UAB’s 42-0 victory at Rice last Saturday. He reeled in four catches for 196 yards and two touchdowns, including a 95-yard touchdown reception which tied the record for longest scoring play in school history. Facing a third-and-five on the UAB 5-yard line, Blazers QB A.J. Erdely launched the ball to Ubosi who went up and made a spectacular catch over the Rice defensive back and took it to the house. His other scoring reception was a 38-yarder on the third offensive snap of the game. Ubosi’s 196 receiving yards were the fifth-most in program history and the most by a C-USA player this season. – Conference USA Football
