Florida Atlantic has reinstated quarterback Chris Robison from suspension, The Palm Beach Post reported.
Robison, who started 11 of 12 games last season for the Owls, was investigated after a student alleged he sexually battered her. He was not charged in the case.
The Post reported that the woman later said their time together was consensual and she didn’t want to press charges.
“Chris Robison is currently able to participate in football-related team activities,” the university said in a statement.
With the suspension, he missed all of FAU’s spring practices and team activities. Coach Lane Kiffin never confirmed why he was not with the team.
“We don’t really discuss details on them, but it is what it is,” Kiffin said when he announced Robison’s suspension March 20. “We’re always trying to help kids grow and mature and hold kids to a high standard.”
He also was suspended at the start of spring camp last season for missing a tutoring session.
Previously part of the Oklahoma football program, Robison was dismissed in mid-2017 for violating Sooners’ team rules. He previously was arrested on a public intoxication charge in April 2017.
As a redshirt freshman in 2018, Robison completed 192 of 304 passes for 2,540 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
In his absence in the spring, Indiana transfer Nick Tronti and junior-college transfer Justin Agner split the quarterback duties.
