QB Ryan Tannehill was ruled inactive for Sunday’s game against the visiting Chicago Bears. Brock Osweiler will get the nod in favor of Tannehill, who was listed as a limited practice participant Friday with a right throwing shoulder injury. Tannehill was a full participant in practice both Wednesday and Thursday. What caused the downgrade is unclear, as Tannehill’s name or game status didn’t come up earlier Friday during head coach Adam Gase’s news conference with local reporters, according to team transcripts.
Brock Osweiler – Noteworthy
QB Brock Osweiler threw for a career-high 380 yards on 28 of 44 with three touchdowns against Khalil Mack and the league’s second-ranked defense in a 31-28 overtime win against Chicago on Sunday..
For the third time, Osweiler led a team past the Bears with a big passing effort. Before Sunday, Osweiler had started wins in the past for Denver and Houston against the Bears.
