*Deshaun Watson – Noteworthy – Injury
QB Deshaun Watson took a beating during the Houston Texans’ 19-16 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, but said on Wednesday that he will be ready to go this week against Buffalo.
The Houston Chronicle reported that Watson, who received treatment on the sideline during the game after taking several big hits, is dealing with a chest injury. “For sure,” Watson said, according to Deepi Sidhu of the Texans’ official website, when he was asked if he would be able to face the Bills. “I feel good; I feel great,” added Watson, who completed 33 of 44 passes for 375 yards with one touchdown and one interception against the Cowboys. “I’ve been sore plenty of times. That’s part of the game.” Texans head coach Bill O’Brien, who said earlier that he would “let the injury report speak for itself,” this time responded with, “Oh, yeah,” when asked by reporters if he thought Watson would play on Sunday.

QB Deshaun Watson is considered day-to-day with a chest injury and was limited in practice to start the week. When asked if he was going to play against the Bills, he answered with a simple, “For sure.”
Aaron Colvin – Noteworthy – Injury
CB Aaron Colvin did not practice for the fourth practice in a row after suffering a left ankle injury against the Indianapolis Colts in overtime. Head coach Bill O’Brien was not sure if Colvin would return this season but not being placed on injured reserve is a small positive for what many thought was a serious injury.
Brian Peters – Noteworthy – Injury
LB and special teams captain Brian Peters continues to miss practice with an ankle injury and he has been in an air cast since the injury. The team is being careful with one of their top special teams player moving forward.
Jadeveon Clowney – Noteworthy – Injury
LB Jadeveon Clowney missed Wednesday’s practice because of an illness, but he is expected to be ready for the game on Sunday. This season, Clowney has 12 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, six tackles for loss, six quarterback hits and a fumble recovery that resulted in a touchdown.
Kayvon Webster – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
CB Kayvon Webster was placed on injured reserve after injuring his quad on the second play of the game against the Dallas Cowboys. Coming back from an Achilles injury he suffered last season, it is the second season he has been placed on the injured reserve.
Keke Coutee – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Keke Coutee remains on the injury report due to a hamstring injury. Coutee has been dealing with his hamstring issue since training camp.
Lamar Miller – Noteworthy – Injury
RB Lamar Miller, who dressed against the Cowboys but did not play, is expected back this week for the offense. Head coach Bill O’Brien mentioned that Miller could have played in an emergency situation but the Texans were able to get the veteran running back a much needed rest.
Matt Lengel – Noteworthy – Transaction
TE Matt Lengel was signed off the Houston Texans practice squad on Wednesday to add some back of the roster depth. Lengel spent nearly two years on the practice squad and the signing was necessitated by Tyler Eifert going on injured reserve and Tyler Kroft’s foot in a walking boot.
Will Fuller – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Will Fuller V remains on the injury report due to a hamstring injury. Fuller injured his midway through the preseason.
