Baltimore Ravens player notes for Oct 10th, 2018

Anthony Averett – Noteworthy – Injury
CB Anthony Averett (hamstring) still was not able to practice this week. He has not played since Week 2 against the Bengals. He could be a candidate for injured reserve.

Cyrus Jones – Noteworthy – Transaction
CB/KR Cyrus Jones was claimed off waivers after he was released by the New England Patriots this week.
Jones has an opportunity to be the primary kick returner after the Ravens released Tim White to make room for him on the 53-man roster. Jones missed all of last season with a torn ACL.

Michael Pierce – Noteworthy – Injury
DT Michael Pierce is still dealing with a foot injury and was held out of practice again this week. He has missed two games with the injury.
Pierce still could come back this week, according to head coach John Harbaugh. “That’s a firm maybe. I’m hopeful,” he said.

Tim White – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR/KR Tim White was signed to the practice squad Wednesday (Oct. 10) one day after clearing waivers.
White was released following an uneven performance Week 5 against Cleveland when he fumbled a punt. White averaged 8.3 yards per punt return and 22.5 yards per kickoff return in his three games with the Ravens this season. To make room for White, Baltimore released offensive lineman Randin Crecelius.

Tim Williams – Noteworthy – Injury
LB Tim Williams (hamstring) was back at practice after not playing Sunday against the Browns.
Williams has seven tackles and has progressed well since his rookie season when he struggled to get on the field.
