A.J. Brown – Noteworthy
WR A.J. Brown had nine catches for 72 yards against LSU, not a good day by his standards, especially when you factor in the drops. Brown was in no danger of being held out of the game, but he played with a lingering hamstring issue and left the game with some assistance late, a hand on the hamstring.
Armani Linton – Noteworthy
RB Armani Linton, a former defensive back, will return to the secondary to provide depth at safety.
Benito Jones – Noteworthy
DT Benito Jones continues to play at less than full strength. When healthy he gives the Rebels a solid presence in the middle, but he managed just one tackle in Baton Rouge, and his biggest impact came when he was drawn off-sides on fourth-and-short. Jones bit on the hard count, and LSU kept a scoring drive alive.
C.J. Moore – Noteworthy – Injury
S C.J. Moore sustained a torn pectoral muscle last week. The Chucky Mullins Courage Award winner has been a steadying influence for a secondary that has already lost two key starters. Moore’s injury is not believed to be season-ending, but he’ll be out for an undetermined amount of time.
Mohamed Sanogo – Noteworthy
LB Mohamed Sanogo had 12 tackles and forced a fumble against LSU. It’s been a revolving door at linebacker as Ole Miss coaches have worked to find their best players at what has been their weakest position. Sanogo has brought a degree of stability to the position.
Victor Evans – Noteworthy – Injury
DE Victor Evans sat out the LSU game with an undisclosed injury but is expected to play this week.
