CB Brian Allen was elevated from the practice squad to take Nat Berhe’s place on the 53-man roster. Allen was a rookie last season and spent the entire season on the 53-man roster.
Chris Boswell – Noteworthy – Injury
K Chris Boswell injured his left (plant) foot in practice on Wednesday, but he is expected to be OK for Sunday.
Darrius Heyward-Bey – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, who injured his ankle against the Ravens, did not practice Wednesday.
Herb Waters – Noteworthy – Transaction
CB Herb Waters was signed by the Steelers to their practice squad Tuesday (Oct. 2). He had been waived by the Packers Sept. 3.
Mike Hilton – Noteworthy – Injury
CB Mike Hilton, who missed the Ravens game with an elbow injury, returned to practice and is expected to play Sunday against the Falcons.
Hilton said he will wear a brace to protect his elbow, but he does not expect it to hinder his performance.
Vince Williams – Noteworthy – Injury
LB Vince Williams, who injured his hamstring against the Ravens, did not practice Wednesday.
