GAME BREAKDOWN
KEY MATCHUP: Syracuse’s defense is struggling ranked 12th in the ACC, allowing 402.6 yards per game, but Pittsburgh’s is worse at 13th (430.6 yards allowed per game). Where the Orange can exploit the Panthers is while on offense. Syracuse is third in the ACC, gaining 480.8 yards a game. QB Eric Dungey should be able to attack Pitt’s defensive front, which has only nine sacks through the first five games.
ROSTER REPORT:
–TE Ravian Pierce is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury, according to Syracuse coach Dino Babers. He has missed has missed the last two games after catching six touchdowns over the first 15 games of his career.
–DB Cordy Antwan, who was given a medical hardship the last two seasons, is out indefinitely with an arm injury suffered against Clemson.
–TE Gabe Horan missed the Clemson game because of an undisclosed injury. He is questionable for Saturday’s game at Pittsburgh.
