LAWRENCE, Kan. — Perry Ellis scored 19 points Wednesday night and made all three 3-pointers he attempted to help the No. 7 Kansas Jayhawks slam the Kansas State Wildcats 77-59 in Allen Fieldhouse.
Devonte’ Graham and Svi Mykhailiuk added 10 points each for the Jayhawks, who looked sluggish at times coming off an overtime victory against Kentucky.
Wesley Iwundu led Kansas State with 15 points. Stephen Hurt added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, helping the Wildcats to a 36-21 advantage on the boards. Barry Brown came off the bench to net 11 points.

Anthony Lawrence scored a game- and career-high 18 points including a career-high four 3-pointers as the Hurricanes took command of the game late in the first half. IOWA CITY, Iowa — The fifth-ranked Hawkeyes upped their winning streak at Carver-Hawkeye Arena to 15 games, a streak dating back to last season, by beating the Nittany Lions.
The story of this game was Iowa’s defense. Penn State missed 12 of its first 15 shots and wound up shooting 21-for-69 (30.4 percent) from the floor — including 1-for-20 from 3-point range — while also getting to the free-throw line just 12 times the entire night.
