The Atlanta Falcons are the first NFL team to reach a 100 percent vaccination rate, the club announced Monday.
The Falcons were at 92 percent on July 23 and completed their team-wide COVID-19 vaccination over the past 3 1/2 weeks.
Among other benefits, the Falcons now will not have to endure daily testing and won’t have to wear masks around their facility. Personnel also will not have to quarantine should they come into close contact with someone who tests positive.
Vaccination is required for all NFL coaches, front-office executives, equipment managers and scouts.
Sports Illustrated noted that the only other sports team to announce a 100 percent vaccination rate is Ole Miss football.
