SEPT 10 SEC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Rodrigo Blankenship, PK, Georgia…Blankenship was 2-for-2 on field goals, drilling a 44 and 45 yarder, and hit all five of his PATs during Georgia’s 41-17 SEC opener on the road at #24 South Carolina…He connected on his 44 yarder at time expired in the second quarter to push the Bulldogs’ lead to 20-10 heading into the second half…Also dropped all of his seven kickoffs in the end zone for touchbacks, making him 14-for-14 on the year…Blankenship is the top SEC kicker and No. 5 nationally for active Division I players in field goal percentage at 84 percent; his 44 career attempts are more than anyone on the nation’s top-10 list. – SEC Football
