Dalvin Cook – Important – Injury
RB Dalvin Cook did not practice again Thursday due to a hamstring injury. Cook, who missed most of his rookie season in 2017 after suffering a torn ACL, rushed for only 38 yards in 10 carries in last week’s 29-29 tie with Green Bay. If Cook is unable to go in Sunday’s game against the visiting Buffalo Bills, Latavius Murray would get the start. Murray has 15 carries for 61 yards in the first two games.
Tom Johnson – Important – Transaction
DT Tom Johnson was signed by the Vikings Wednesday (Sept. 19). His contract had been terminated by the Seahawks Monday. Johnson (6-3, 285) joins the Vikings after being released by Seattle after starting Week 1 for the Seahawks. The eight-year veteran spent 2014-17 with the Minnesota Vikings, appearing in 62 regular-season games with 25 starts and 3 playoff contests with two postseason starts. Johnson, who has appeared in 103 career games (26 starts), played with New Orleans from 2011-13 prior to joining the Vikings. Johnson registered 16 of his 21 career sacks as a Viking.
