Atlanta Falcons player notes for Sep 21st, 2018

Andy Levitre – Important – Injury – Transaction
G Andy Levitre was placed on reserve/injured by the Falcons Wednesday (Sept. 19). While he is eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and can play after eight weeks, it is expected that the injury will sideline him for the rest of the season. “After receiving the tests results on Andy’s injury from Sunday’s game, it has been determined that he will miss the remainder of the season with a triceps injury,” said head coach Dan Quinn. “Andy worked extremely hard to get back on the field after a similar injury last year, and there is no doubt his leadership will continue to be felt this year. We have a ton of respect for Andy and what he stands for, and what he means to our team.”

Levitre played and started in 13 games in 2017 and helped block for an offense that ranked eighth in yards per game and eighth in passing yards per game. Levitre was signed by the Falcons in 2015 and has played and started in 47 games since joining the team.
