Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller said he “should be ready” for a return to action in a month or less.
Miller made the comments Monday night ahead of an Instagram live event he held with U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.). Miller has not played this season after severely injuring his ankle in practice ahead of the Broncos’ Week 1 game.
Miller was asked how he was progressing.
“My ankle is feeling good. I’m straight. Hopefully a couple of weeks. Thinking about like three weeks to a month, I should be ready to go,” Miller said.
It was thought that Miller would be lost for the season after having surgery to repair a dislocated tendon in September.
The eight-time Pro Bowl selection and former Super Bowl MVP has a franchise-record 106 sacks for the Broncos in nine seasons since he was the No. 2 overall choice of the 2011 NFL Draft. Miller also has 490 tackles, 26 forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
The Broncos (3-4) have won three of their past four games and look to even their record this Sunday when they travel to Atlanta to play the Falcons (2-6).
