GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Senior CB Rashad Fenton could have the task of stopping, or at least slowing, Vanderbilt WR Kalija Lipscomb. Lipscomb leads the SEC in receptions with 25 good for 234 yards and three touchdowns and Fenton has South Carolina’s only interception this season, giving the senior three picks for his career. Vanderbilt QB Kyle Shurmur is a veteran who has completed 64.1 percent of his pass attempts and was 26-of-43 for 326 yards in the loss at Notre Dame last week.

DRAFT SLANT

–WR Deebo Samuel had six catches against Georgia, leaving him with 99 for his career. He has 13 receptions in South Carolina’s two games for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also has returned two kickoffs for another 45 yards in giving the Gamecocks a threat in the return game. Marshall’s kickoff coverage was only so-so against Eastern Kentucky. The visitors had 102 yards on four runbacks with a long of 37 yards.

ROSTER REPORT:
