The Atlanta Falcons ruled out defensive end Takk McKinley for Thursday’s road game against the Carolina Panthers.
McKinley is nursing a groin injury that has prevented him from participating in practice Tuesday and Wednesday.
Seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones answered limited participation in practice on both Monday and Tuesday with a full session on Wednesday. Jones, who initially was nursing an ailing hip, does not have an injury designation as the Falcons (1-6) prepare to face the Panthers (3-4) on Thursday (8:20 p.m. ET).
Fellow wideout Russell Gage (knee) joined center Alex Mack (knee) and offensive tackle Kaleb McGary (elbow) in being limited participants in practice on Wednesday. All three players do not carry an injury designation.
