Jeff Nelson and Jim Reynolds will serve as the umpiring crew chiefs for the 2020 League Championship Series, Major League Baseball announced Sunday.
Nelson will lead the American League crew of Lance Barksdale, regular-season crew chief Ted Barrett, Chris Conroy, Manny Gonzalez, Tim Timmons and John Tumpane. Nelson has worked four World Series, seven league championship series, eight division series and five wild cards.
In the National League, Reynolds will work with Cory Blaser, Pat Hoberg, James Hoye, regular-season crew chief Dan Iassogna, Will Little and Alan Porter. Reynolds has worked two World Series, four league championship series, seven division series and three wild cards.
Replay officials during the series will be umpires Marty Foster (ALCS) and Mike Muchlinski (NLCS), while Jordan Baker will assist both.
The ALCS begins Sunday night at Petco Park in San Diego, where the top-seeded Tampa Bay Rays will meet the sixth-seeded Houston Astros, who are the defending league champions.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves will begin play Monday in NLCS, being played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
