GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Purdue hasn’t won a game this season, but the Boilermakers had a school-record 572 yards through the air in last week’s loss to Missouri. The BC defense gave up 512 yards of total offense in the win at Wake Forest and could be under the gun on foreign soil this week.

DRAFT SLANT

–DE Zach Allen continues to impress the pro scouts. NFLdraftscout.com has him rated as the No. 2 defensive end in the country. With All-American Harold Landry hurt for most of last season, Allen led the charge for the Eagles up front. Entering this season, Allen was named a Preseason All-American by Phil Steele and Athlon Sports. He is on the watch list for the Bednarik Award, Ted Hendricks Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Wuerffel Trophy. In 2017, Allen led the Eagles’ pass rush with six sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss, which is tied for 10th most in a single season in program history.”
