Reports: Seahawks release LB Shaquem Griffin

The Seattle Seahawks waived linebacker Shaquem Griffin as part of their roster cuts Saturday, multiple outlets reported.

The 2018 fifth-round draft pick had his left hand amputated at the age of 4 due to a congenital condition.

Griffin, 25, appeared in all 32 regular season games (one start) and three playoff games during his first two seasons with the Seahawks. He tallied 16 tackles and three quarterback hits.

He is a candidate for Seattle’s practice squad, per the reports.

Griffin’s twin brother, Shaquill, is a Pro Bowl cornerback entering his fourth season with the Seahawks.
