Former Iowa cornerback D.J. Johnson announced over social media that he has committed to Purdue.
Johnson declared his intentions Friday on Twitter, a little over three weeks removed from entering the NCAA transfer database.
Johnson recorded 14 tackles and a pair of pass breakups while appearing in 11 games (one start) last season.
He was named Big Ten Conference Co-Freshman of the Week after registering eight tackles in the Hawkeyes’ 18-17 victory over rival Iowa State on Sept. 14.
